I've posted a banner on a page or two to see if there is any payback from people clicking them and setting up a site. We'll see.......

Your website is very impressive. How about a "useful link" to www.harringtonhistorygroup.co.uk.
Keep up the good work.

Just been told of the web site and have really enjoyed reminiscing. I didn't realise how many people I had forgotten were in the Scouts .

I can remember spending many summers up at East Aveneue and at cubs and scouts. The hut probably needed knocked down then Hee Hee. It will be good to see a new hut so that scouts can continue in Harrington for many years.
Hopefully my little boy will join when he is a bit older.
I remember going to canoe camp where Ant, Hally and I travelled in the canadian canoe down the river to derwent water. It could have been a disaster but we made it in the end after a few groundings in shallow water due to bad steering.
I can remember making Braddy Lanterns (Named after Paul Bradburn if I remember correctly) out of an old milk bottle, candle and broom handle.
There used to be a good bonfire on bonfire night aswell up at the scout hut too, with hotdogs and toffee on sale.
